Philco 84 Catherdral Radio Exc WorksHere is another beautiful cathedrla radio for your consideration. This one is a phlico 84 cathedral of 1934-35. These are 4 tube bc band radios which are regneerative superheterodynes. This particular radio was recently restored by myseld with new ni blocks capacitors, new underchassis electrolytic capactors, alignment and prolonged test play. The dial lamp is new, the grillcloth a correct reproduction from john okolowicz, the knobs original, the finish new. The controls were clenaed and lubricated, and tubes all checked as good. The radio is a strong player, receiving numerous stations uisng a wire antenna here in my remote upstate ny location. There are no special effects such as hum, squeaks, squawks, or heterodynes. hTere is plenty of volume! All the coils are original and none required rewinding.
