Antique Fairbanks Morse Wood Cabinet Tube Radio

I have up for bid an antique fairbanks morse wood cabinet tube radio. Thsi fairbanks morse radio came from an estate sale. I pluggde it up to an a/c oulet and it came on with front indicator light working, the tubes came on also. The selector knob works and you can idal up and down for the different numbers of the radio stations on the scale. I could not pick up any radio stations but i could hera static from the speaker.
